Swift CCTV analysis and coordinated efforts lead to child’s safe reunion with parents
Hyderabad, November 23, 2025 – Golconda Police successfully rescued a 4-year-old girl who was kidnapped and apprehended two accused persons within 24 hours of receiving the complaint, demonstrating swift and effective police work.
The Incident
On November 21, 2025, at 18:00 hours, Golconda Police received a written petition from Smt. Nuzath Fatima, a resident of Kancha, reporting that her 4-year-old daughter Safiya Begum went missing after visiting her grandmother’s house.
Despite extensive local search efforts by the family and neighbors, the child could not be traced. Based on the complaint, a case was registered as Cr. No.298/2025 U/s 139(1) BNSS at Golconda Police Station.
Swift Police Action
Immediately upon receiving the complaint, special teams were formed and police rushed to the reported area. Officers began examining CCTV cameras along the route, which proved crucial to cracking the case.
Through CCTV footage analysis, police identified one suspect wearing a burkha kidnapping the minor girl with the assistance of an auto driver.

Through continuous and meticulous CCTV analysis, the auto was identified as TS 15 U 3**. Using this crucial lead, police traced and apprehended both accused persons within 24 hours of the complaint.

Modus Operandi
The investigation revealed a disturbing motive behind the kidnapping. The accused, previously husband and wife, planned to kidnap a child to falsely project her as their own after reuniting.
According to police, the family of accused Faiyaz did not approve of their relationship. To overcome this obstacle and present themselves as parents, the couple hatched a conspiracy to abduct a child.
As part of this plan, both accused abducted the 4-year-old girl from Saleh Nagar Kancha and kept her at the residence of the second accused (Mohammed Faiyaz).
