    The Geological Survey of India (GSI) conducted a preliminary survey and discovered gold deposits in the Aspari mandal of the Aluru segment in Kurnool district. The GSI will now conduct a comprehensive study to determine the amount and quality of gold ore in the area. They have already started mining gold in the Pathikonda segment of Tuggali mandal in Kurnool district.

    The GSI officials have shared information about the newly found mine in Aspari with the State mining authorities. They plan to complete the comprehensive survey of the Aspari mine within the current financial year.
