Wanaparthy, Telangana – District Collector Adarsh Surabhi announced that Gopalpet mandal has been selected as the pilot area in Wanaparthy district to address land-related issues under the Bhu Bharati program.
Speaking at a video conference on Friday with Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy and Chief Secretary Ramakrishna Rao, the Collector shared the plan moving forward. He stated that officials are collecting applications from residents in all nine gram panchayats of Gopalpet mandal.
To speed up the process, two dedicated teams have been set up. From 9 AM to 4 PM, officials will visit specific villages to accept applications and speak directly with locals.
The government will provide standardized application forms in advance. Two staff members will assist villagers in filling out the forms correctly to avoid delays or errors.
Additionally, Tahsildars have been directed to carry all relevant land documents and village maps. This will help them solve issues on-site wherever possible, reducing the need for multiple visits.
This initiative follows Minister Ponguleti’s directive to launch a district-level revenue conference starting May 5, selecting one mandal per district to resolve land disputes quickly and efficiently.
Senior officials including Additional Collectors G Venkateswarlu (Revenue), Yadayya (Local Bodies In-Charge), RDO Subramanyam, and various tahsildars attended the meeting to coordinate the plan.
This pilot effort aims to streamline the land issue resolution process and bring faster relief to rural communities under the Bhu Bharati program.
