Hyderabad has made plans for a new educational facility in Kondapur. The Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA) recently reclaimed seven acres of land there. The state government announced on February 22 that this land will be used for a junior college or school.
Earlier, HYDRAA cleared encroachments in Rajarajeshwari Nagar Colony. According to the 1993 plan, this area was meant for a government junior college, a school, parks, and a community hall. However, small shops and temporary structures had appeared there, which concerned local residents.
The government’s recent decision to stick to the original land use plan has been welcomed by locals. They are pleased that the land will serve the community as intended.
