Hyderabad is becoming a major hub for GCCs, with 355 centers employing over 3 lakh professionals. Many global companies, especially in the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) sector, are eager to set up their offices in the city.

To help young professionals gain the skills needed for these jobs, Telangana Skill University has partnered with the BFSI Consortium and Equip to introduce the ‘BFSI – Skilling’ program. This is a four-month training course designed for B.Tech graduates. It covers various topics, including banking operations, financial markets, insurance, investment banking, software development, programming, database management, cybersecurity, cloud computing, and soft skills.

Students who complete the program will receive placement support to help them secure jobs. The program is affordable, with only a one-time fee of Rs. 5,000 for certification and administrative costs. Selection for the course is based on an entrance test, and 1,320 B.Tech graduates have already registered for the current batch. The test will be conducted this Sunday at the Engineering Staff College of India (ESCI) campus in Gachibowli.

Minister Sridhar Babu emphasized that the government is committed to offering courses that match industry needs. He encouraged students to regularly check the Skill University’s website (yisu.in) for updates and new opportunities.
