Additional Collector K Sitarama Rao met with rice millers in Nagarkurnool to discuss the submission of CMR rice to the government for the years 2020-2021, 2021-2022, and a warning was given for the year 2023-24. Failure to submit the required CMR rice by April 30, 2024, may result in legal action against the rice millers.

District Civil Supplies Officer Swamy, District Manager, Rice Miller Owners, and Tasildars attended the meeting along with Additional Collector K Sitarama Rao. The meeting took place in the conference hall of the integrated collectorate building in the district.

All rice millers were urged to respond promptly and hand over the CMR rice to avoid any potential legal consequences.
