Rajanna-Sircilla: On Monday, BJP leader Pratap Ramakrishna urged the Telangana government to clarify when the well-known Vemulawada Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swamy Temple will close for its extensive renovation.
At his farmhouse, Ramakrishna spoke to reporters, pressing the government to issue a detailed timeline for the temple’s development. He mentioned that a presentation showed the temple would close after the Dussehra festival, but specifics were lacking. He emphasized the need for immediate clarity and also called for the removal of a nearby dargah as part of the temple’s renovation.
Ramakrishna expressed concerns about the temple’s closure, noting that it would directly affect 500 families and indirectly impact 3,000 more, risking their livelihoods. He demanded the government announce support measures for these families without delay.
He insisted that the government disclose the duration required to finish the temple’s development, making all project details available to ensure transparency and responsibility.
