Hyderabad: The State government will soon announce a decision to honor the memory of the famous poet and writer, Dr. C Narayana Reddy. Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy shared this news while attending the Vishwambara National Award presentation. The event was held on Monday to celebrate the 93rd birth anniversary of Dr. C Narayana Reddy.
The Chief Minister spoke about Narayana Reddy’s significant contributions to literature. He noted that Narayana Reddy served as a poet, Vice-Chancellor, and Member of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha. Despite coming from a small village, Narayana Reddy achieved great success and made the Telugu community proud. His work continues to inspire many.
Narayana Reddy wrote poems and songs that had deep meanings. This is why his writings are still remembered and cherished by many.
The Chief Minister also mentioned that the government is willing to support anyone who wants to publish Narayana Reddy’s works in volumes. He added that the government had already decided to present Gaddar Awards instead of Nandi Awards on December 9 each year. However, there has been no response from the film industry regarding this change.
CM Revanth Reddy urged the film industry to come up with proposals for the Gaddar Awards. He also congratulated Siva Shankari for receiving the prestigious Vishwambara National Award.
