Hyderabad: The State government is dedicated to regularly filling vacant government posts, said IT & Industries Minister Sridhar Babu. He was speaking at the passing out parade of 196 Fire Driver Operators held at the Telangana State Fire Services and Civil Defense Training Institute in Rangareddy district on Saturday.
Minister Sridhar Babu mentioned that the recruitment process, which had been on hold for the past decade, has been restarted under the leadership of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. He explained that the government has been systematically addressing legal and procedural hurdles to ensure appointments are made smoothly. “We are committed to handling this process with sincerity,” he said. The Minister also highlighted the Chief Minister’s special focus on filling vacancies in the Home department.
During his speech, Sridhar Babu praised the Fire Department for its outstanding service, particularly during recent floods in Khammam. “In times of crisis, they step up with determination to protect lives. Their work reflects the true spirit of service and brotherhood,” he added.
The Minister also pointed out the government’s efforts to strengthen the Fire Department. Over the past year, 878 personnel were recruited across various divisions in the department.
He assured that the government is committed to further improving the department’s operational capacity and infrastructure. “The Fire Department has a crucial role in responding quickly and effectively to disasters to save lives and property,” Sridhar Babu concluded.
