The Chief Minister of Telangana, A Revanath Reddy, has stated that the State government has presented a realistic budget for the first time in history. He also mentioned that the government is willing to order an investigation into the construction of the new state Secretariat, the 125-feet Ambedkar statue, and the Telangana Martyrs Memorial.
This comment by the Chief Minister is significant because the government has already been investigating the Medigadda barrage, Formula E Race, and the HMDA land scam. During an informal conversation with the media in his chamber at the Assembly, he mentioned that the government is currently in talks with banks to fulfill the promise of a Rs 2 lakh farm loan waiver scheme.
According to the Chief Minister, the previous government presented false budgets in the assembly for ten years. However, the current vote on account budget prioritizes the welfare sector. He also mentioned that many initiatives will be taken for the development of the State in the coming days.
