Hyderabad: Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan has suggested the creation of special ICUs for women and the expansion of mobile medical units to conduct health checkups in remote rural and tribal areas. Speaking at a round table conference on health, the governor emphasized the need to raise awareness about government health services and improve their accessibility in both rural and urban areas through the use of mobile medical units.

The governor also noted that it is important to recognize that women not only require reproductive health services but also face a higher prevalence of other diseases such as kidney ailments, heart diseases, gastrointestinal issues, orthopedic problems, and eye conditions. She recommended that families prioritize women’s health and allocate a separate budget for their healthcare needs.
