Governor gives Best Service award to Wanaparthy man

Wanaparthy: On Saturday, during the World Blood Donor Day celebration at Raj Bhavan in Hyderabad, Governor Jishnu Dev Varma praised the remarkable work of the Yuvashakti Foundation. He awarded the ‘Best Service Award’ to Kagitala Madhu, the foundation’s founder-president.

Madhu, from Khilla Ghanpur Mandal in Wanaparthy district, has been raising awareness about blood donation among young people using WhatsApp groups throughout the state. His efforts have inspired many, organizing blood donations for over 30,000 people in Telangana. He is seen as a role model by many.

Receiving the award, Madhu expressed joy and said it motivates him to continue his service. He dedicated the award to the residents of his hometown, Khilla Ghanpur, the people of Wanaparthy, and the Yuvashakti Foundation team. He emphasized, “Being human is not special, but saving lives by donating blood is truly noble.” He encouraged healthy youth to donate blood.
