Granite industries receive Rs 22 crore dues from Telangana Government

The State government has released unpaid subsidies for the Khammam granite industries. The subsidies include incentives and power subsidies, totaling Rs 22 crore. These subsidies have been pending since 2014. Representatives from the Khammam Granite Association, led by Rajya Sabha member MP Vaddiraju Ravichandra, appealed to CM KCR and Ministers KTR, Harish Rao, and Puvvada Ajay Kumar to release the subsidies and support the sector.

On January 18, representatives of the association met with Minister Harish Rao during an open meeting of the BRS party in Khammam to discuss the issue. Harish Rao personally committed to paying back the debts, which amounted to Rs 22 crore. The government has now approved the release of this amount.

MP Vaddiraju Ravichandra expressed his happiness and gratitude for the government’s approval of the subsidies owed to the granite industry. He mentioned that every member of the Khammam Granite family owes money to CM KCR. He specifically thanked CM KCR, Ministers KTR, Harish Rao, and Puvvada Ajay Kumar for their support in developing the State’s granite industries.
