Hyderabad: The Chief Minister, A Revanth Reddy, has directed the DGP to reverse the decision of shutting down the ‘Kumari Aunty’ food stall in Madhapur. Kumari Aunty expressed her happiness and gratitude towards the Chief Minister for coming to her rescue. She stated that she is pleased with his decision and sees it as a blessing. Kumari Aunty also appreciated the government’s support towards roadside hotels.
Kumari Aunty has been running her street food business for thirteen years. Initially, she did not receive any notice about the eviction of her hotel. She mentioned that due to the closure of her food stall, food worth 50 thousand rupees went to waste on Tuesday. She also shared her grievances about her food cart being seized and her son being beaten. Despite all these challenges, she never imagined she would be able to reopen her hotel. She expressed her gratitude towards the Chief Minister for recognizing a small street food business like hers and taking action.
Kumari Aunty’s food stall is located opposite ITC Kohinoor Hotel in Madhapur. As she gained popularity on social media, a large number of people started visiting her stall. The police seized her hotel on Tuesday, citing traffic disturbances. They asked her to relocate her stall, but she expressed her concerns about the situation. Meanwhile, the Chief Minister addressed this issue and took appropriate action.
