The BCCI has made a new rule for IPL 2023 matches. For every dot ball scored in the playoff matches, 500 trees must be planted. This means that 147,000 trees will be planted by the BCCI and the teams that have dot balls. Santhosh Kumar, a Rajya Sabha member, is happy with this decision. He thanked the BCCI on behalf of the Green India Challenge team in a letter to BCCI President Roger Binny and on Twitter.
