Hyderabad, June 19 (Namaste Telangana): Minister Allola Indrakaran Reddy announced that the Harithaharam program, inaugurated by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, has gained national recognition and has become a direction for the country. The state government has transformed Telangana into a green state through the Kaleshwaram project. The Harithotsavam program conducted on Monday at Ravindra Bharathi as part of the state formation day celebrations was attended by Home Minister Mahmood Ali and Allola Indrakaran Reddy. A short film and documentary highlighting the achievements and progress made through Harithaharam were screened. They also released progress reports.

Officials involved in the special farming practices for forest conservation, including forest officers, village sarpanches, and village development officers, were felicitated and awarded. In this context, Minister Indrakaran Reddy spoke and stated that the Harithaharam program, implemented by CM KCR, is yielding fruitful results. It was revealed that so far, 273.33 crore saplings have been planted across the state under Harithaharam, with an expenditure of Rs. 10,822 crores. He expressed that the forests in our state have regained their former glory through Harithaharam.

It was reported that the green cover in Telangana is expanding across the state. The program conducted by the Forest Department witnessed the presence of Chairperson of Afforestation Society Chiram Veru Prathap Reddy, Chairman of Hyderabad Housing Corporation Sai Chand, Head Officer of Forest Conservation (PC CEF, HOEF) RM Dobriyal, CM OSD Priyanka Varghese, PC CEF (Social Forestry) Lokesh Jaiswal, Vice-Chairman of Afforestation Society, Endi Chandra Shekhar Reddy, officials from the Forest Department, Panchayat Raj, TSIIC, HM&FW, and other branches, and public representatives.
