The Health Department in Telangana has released guidelines for the transfer of professors, associate professors, and assistant professors in teaching hospitals. These guidelines will allow doctors to move from one hospital to another based on their qualifications and experience. The move is expected to provide better career opportunities and improve the healthcare system in the state. Doctors who have been waiting for transfers due to various reasons will also benefit from this decision.

To be eligible for transfer, doctors must have completed at least two years of service in their current place of work. The vacancies in 17 medical colleges recently established by the government will be filled through transfers only. If there are more applications than vacancies in these colleges, vacancies in other medical colleges will be filled instead.
