Hyderabad: The Telangana State Haj Committee held a key meeting on Wednesday at Shamshabad Airport to prepare for the upcoming Haj-2025 pilgrimage. The goal of the meeting was to review and improve all arrangements for the smooth departure and return of pilgrims using the Hyderabad Embarkation Point at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA), Shamshabad.
The meeting was led by Syed Ghulam Afzal Biyabani Khusro Pasha, Chairman of the Telangana State Haj Committee. It included officials from various departments and agencies involved in the Haj process. They discussed several important topics such as providing temporary accommodation for pilgrims at Haj House before departure, flight bookings, boarding passes, luggage screening and check-in, customs procedures, and the transportation of pilgrims and their bags from Haj House to the airport.
Khusro Pasha highlighted the importance of smooth coordination between all departments to make sure the journey is comfortable, safe, and respectful for the pilgrims. He stressed that everything must be done with care and attention to detail.
All the officials present promised their full support to ensure a well-organized and hassle-free pilgrimage experience. Khusro Pasha also said that the Telangana State Haj Committee is dedicated to offering the best services possible to the pilgrims.
The meeting was attended by several important officials, including Shaik Yasmeen Basha, Director of the Minorities Welfare Department, along with members of the Haj Committee such as Md Mujeebuddin, Md Layeeq, Mufti Ilyas Ahmed Hamed, and Dr. Syed Azhar Ali. Other representatives from Saudi Airlines, GMR Airport, CISF, Customs, and other departments were also present.
