Hyderabad: On Wednesday, senior BRS leader T Harish Rao criticized Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and his team’s trip to Delhi for a protest demanding a 42% quota for BCs. Rao claimed the event was a failure since even Rahul Gandhi did not attend the protest.

Rao pointed out that despite being nearby, Rahul Gandhi and Congress president Mallikarjuna Kharge did not join the protest, suggesting they prioritize Bihar over BCs. He argued that neither Revanth Reddy’s protest nor the claim of implementing the 42% quota for BCs was genuine, as both Gandhi and Kharge, along with the people of Telangana, seemed unconvinced.

Harish Rao noted the inconsistency in the Congress party’s stance, highlighting that Revanth Reddy claimed the quota demand was solely for Telangana while Rahul Gandhi tweeted it was a nationwide issue.

The differing statements from Revanth Reddy and Rahul Gandhi on the same day revealed a lack of sincerity in the Congress party’s approach to the BC reservation issue. Harish Rao referenced Abraham Lincoln, saying, “You can fool all the people some of the time and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time,” to emphasize his point.
