Hyderabad: On Thursday, senior BRS leader T Harish Rao accused Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy of monitoring BRS leaders through the Intelligence wing. Harish Rao claimed that the CM was listening to the phone calls of BRS leaders and journalists. He demanded an apology from the chief minister for his remarks about the party’s working president, KT Rama Rao (KTR).
During a casual chat with the media at Telangana Bhavan, Harish Rao expressed concerns about phone tapping. “Every day, Revanth Reddy monitors our calls. Intelligence officers follow us everywhere. They are spying on us. Even journalists’ calls might be tapped. How do you know when journalists speak with me? We are not worried,” Harish Rao stated.
Harish Rao criticized Revanth Reddy for his comments about KTR. He described the remarks as nonsensical and accused the chief minister of spreading falsehoods. “Pollution is already high in Delhi, and Revanth Reddy’s comments add to it. He talks rubbish to hide his own issues,” Harish Rao remarked. He recalled how Andhra Pradesh Irrigation Minister Nimmala Rammohan Naidu mentioned the Banakacherla project, contrary to Revanth Reddy’s statements.
Addressing allegations related to the death of KTR’s friend, Harish Rao said, “If someone dies in Dubai, how does it relate to KTR? If there’s evidence against KTR, present it. Otherwise, apologize publicly.”
