Former minister and MLA Harish Rao criticized the new Congress-led State Government for not supporting the Telangana Diagnostic Centers established by the previous government. These centers were set up to offer medical tests to the poor conveniently.
According to Harish Rao, lab technicians and other staff at these diagnostic centers have not been paid salaries for five months. The lack of payment has caused difficulties for these workers.
Under the KCR government, 36 diagnostic centers were set up across the state. These centers provided 134 different types of medical tests, making Telangana a model for medical services in the country.
Harish Rao emphasized that these diagnostic centers helped relieve many people from financial burdens. However, due to mismanagement, common people are now facing challenges in accessing these services.
The opposition BRS has been urging the government to ensure that all tests and medical services are readily available at these diagnostic centers. Harish Rao expressed concern over the current situation.
