Hyderabad: The Hyderabad City Security Council (HCSC) is organizing the second edition of the STREE Summit-2025 to promote women’s safety and empowerment. This event supports the UN Women’s theme, “For All Women and Girls – Rights, Equality, Empowerment.”
The summit will take place on April 15 at Hotel Taj Deccan in Banjara Hills. STREE Summit 2025 aims to discuss the safety issues women face in society and stress the importance of gender equality in security.
C V Anand, the Hyderabad City Police Commissioner and Chairperson of HCSC, said that ensuring women’s safety is a moral duty. He added that the summit offers a great opportunity to share experiences and find better ways to protect women.
HCSC Secretary General, C Shekar Reddy, said that the summit reflects their strong commitment to women’s safety and equality. He believes that empowering women will help build a safer future.
Geeta Goti, Joint Secretary of the Women’s Forum, explained that STREE (She Triumphs Through Respect, Equality, and Empowerment) is an ongoing program that involves communities in making safer spaces for women and children. She emphasized the role of inclusivity in bringing people together for this cause.
The event will include panel discussions, speeches from well-known speakers, interactive workshops, and networking sessions. These activities aim to encourage the sharing of ideas and collaboration among participants.
