Hyderabad: Chevella MP Konda Vishweshwar Reddy believes that India’s healthcare sector will eventually surpass the IT industry. He pointed out that patients from both developing and developed countries are seeking affordable treatments in India, showing a shift in economic trends favoring healthcare.
Speaking at the hmtv Healthcare Awards – 2025 as the chief guest, Vishweshwar Reddy highlighted that healthcare in India is more affordable than in any other country. Unlike other sectors, India’s healthcare meets or exceeds international standards, attracting patients from Europe and beyond. He and Prime Minister Modi are confident that healthcare will soon outshine the IT industry.
Regarding the recent increase in H-1B visa fees by the US, the MP remains hopeful. He suggested that the US President might reverse this decision, as America relies heavily on healthcare professionals from India. MLC Anji Reddy, present as the guest of honor, praised the awarded doctors and expressed hope that more doctors would receive future hmtv awards.
