    The Meteorological Department has forecasted heavy rainfall in the coming three days as the southwest monsoon spreads across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Expect cloudy skies and occasional light to moderate rain, particularly in various districts.

    On Sunday, June 1, 2025, light rain is likely in Krishna, NTR, Guntur, Bapatla, Prakasam, Palnadu, Nandyal, Nellore, Annamayya, Chittoor, and Tirupati. The following day, June 2, 2025, Uttarandhra, Krishna, NTR, Guntur, and Bapatla may see light to moderate rain, with possible light showers elsewhere.

    Significant rain was recorded by 6 PM on Saturday. Ichapuram in Srikakulam received 49 mm, Peddanadipalli in Vizianagaram got 46 mm, Denkada had 43 mm, and Garikipalem in Srikakulam had 42 mm. More heavy rain is expected in Andhra Pradesh from mid-June. Srikakulam, Manyam, Vizianagaram, Alluri, Visakhapatnam, Anakapalle, Kakinada, East Godavari, West Godavari, Eluru, and Konaseema should prepare for moderate showers.

    In Telangana, the Hyderabad Meteorological Centre predicts three days of heavy rain, especially in Adilabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jagtial, Karimnagar, Bhupalpalli, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak, and Kamareddy. Winds may reach 40-50 km/h, so residents are urged to stay cautious.
