Telangana is bracing for significant rainfall on October 28 and 29 due to Cyclone Montha impacting the central Andhra Pradesh coast, says local weather expert T Balaji. He advises residents in east Telangana to prepare for flash floods, as the area might receive 150 to 220 mm of rain. Hyderabad will see moderate rain, with the heaviest downpour expected on October 28.
The Meteorological Centre in Hyderabad forecasts over 200 mm of rain in some parts of Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, and Mahabubabad districts on the same day. Areas in Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Peddapalli, Khammam, Warangal, and Hanumakonda can expect 115 to 204 mm of rain. Meanwhile, Adilabad, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jagtial, Rajanna Sircilla, Karimnagar, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Jangaon, Siddipet, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, and Medchal-Malkajgiri are likely to receive 64 to 115 mm of rain.
Rain will continue across many parts of Telangana until October 30.
