Kalvakuntla Kavitha, President of Telangana Jagruthi, has urged BJP MPs in the state to resign to expedite the BC Reservations Bill. During a press conference held at a private hotel near Nizamabad on Sunday, she challenged local MP Dharmapuri Arvind to resign first, setting an example for his party colleagues. Kavitha criticized the incomplete Madhavnagar Bridge project, questioning why it hasn’t progressed despite Arvind being re-elected as MP, two years after the BRS government lost power.

She demanded immediate action on the bridge, whether by staging a protest or seeking intervention from CM Revanth Reddy or PM Modi. Kavitha highlighted the overwhelming response to the Jagruthi “Janam Bata” program initiated on Saturday. During a visit to Yanch Village in Navipet Mandal, she observed the dire conditions of flood-affected farmers, noting that around 5,000 acres of crops were damaged. She criticized Collector Vinay Krishna Reddy and Bodhan MLA Sudarshan Reddy for not taking responsibility and demanded compensation of ₹50,000 per acre for affected farmers.

In the combined Nizamabad district, approximately 75,000 acres of maize farmers are being exploited by private traders, with about 80% selling to middlemen despite promises of minimum support. Kavitha accused the government of causing a loss of ₹700 per quintal due to its inaction. She demanded the government purchase every grain of wet paddy affected by untimely rains and provide bonuses to farmers, unlike the previous season.

Kavitha also addressed criticisms from a BJP MP against her and her family, warning that she would reveal evidence against them to the media. She criticized the government for prioritizing contractor payments over student fee reimbursements, causing significant hardships for students. Leaders of Jagruthi District participated in the event.
