Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWS&SB) Managing Director Dana Kishore has announced that QR codes have been installed at all under-construction projects and works in Hyderabad. This initiative is aimed at improving the grievance redress mechanism and ensuring transparency in the execution of HMWS&SB works.

From January 2023, QR codes have been installed at 28,000 work sites, both major and minor ones. When a QR code is scanned, it will take the user to a website that provides information about the work. This includes details about the agency and contractor responsible for the project, contact information for grievance redressal, and the timeline for completing the work.

By implementing QR codes, the HMWS&SB hopes to make it easier for citizens to access important information about ongoing projects and works. This will enable them to understand who is responsible for the work and who to contact in case of any issues or grievances.
