Tension broke out at a private school in Dilsukhnagar, Hyderabad, after members of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and some parents staged a protest. The demonstration was in response to allegations that a school teacher had beaten a student who was observing ‘Ayyappa Deeksha.’

The incident involved Vasi Karan, a ninth-grade student at Narayana High School. On Wednesday, Vasi was reportedly punished by his math teacher for causing a disturbance in class. After the incident, the boy went home and informed his parents about what happened.

This led to demands from student organizations and parents for strict action against the teacher. Upon receiving information about the protest, the police arrived at the school and deployed additional forces to maintain order. They held discussions with the school management and the boy’s parents.
