Hydra authorities have taken down illegal buildings that were constructed on park land in Dollar Hills Colony, located under the Manikonda Municipality.

The action followed complaints from residents who reported the land encroachment to Hydra Commissioner Ranganath. They filed a formal complaint at the Hydra office just 15 days ago.

On May 14, Commissioner Ranganath visited the site to inspect the situation personally. Early this morning, demolition crews arrived with tight security and began clearing the unauthorized structures from the park area.

Local residents say they’ve been raising this issue for the past three years. They had repeatedly contacted both the municipal and HMDA offices, but their complaints were overlooked until now.
