Hyderabad is expected to experience extremely heavy rains in the next two days. The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has instructed its field workers to be prepared and provide immediate relief measures to those in need. The GHMC has prioritized residents in low-lying areas of Hyderabad for assistance during heavy rainfall. They have formed 428 emergency response teams to carry out relief work. The Mayor has advised people to stay indoors unless it is an emergency.
On Tuesday, the Mayor, Gadwal Vijayalaxmi, directed senior GHMC officials to not grant leave to their employees and utilize all available resources to provide relief and rehabilitation work for the next 48 hours.
