Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (HMRL) will offer extended services for New Year 2026 celebrations. On December 31, metro trains will operate until midnight on all routes, with the final trains leaving terminal stations at 1 am on January 1, 2026.
Typically, metro services run from 6 am to 11 pm. For this special occasion, the hours are extended by two hours to support safe travel for those celebrating and traveling late at night.
The last trains will depart from starting points at 1 am, arriving at final stops around 2 am. This adjustment aims to help people get home safely from various New Year events in the city.
To handle the expected increase in passengers, extra security staff will be on duty at metro stations. Authorities will also closely monitor and take action against anyone traveling under the influence of alcohol.
