In Hyderabad, the Rachakonda Special Operations Team, along with the Hayath Nagar police, caught two interstate drug peddlers. These individuals were involved in transporting hash oil, a type of drug. The police seized a total of 13.5 kg of hash oil along with other illegal materials, which were valued at Rs 1.8 crore.

The two arrested individuals are Vanchurbha Konda Babu, aged 30, and Vanchurbha Balakrishna, aged 20, both from Andhra Pradesh. The police explained that to make 1 kg of hash oil, about 35 to 40 kg of Ganja is required. Therefore, the 13.5 kg of hash oil they had involved around 560 kg of Ganja. In the Ganja market, this amount of hash oil is worth approximately Rs 14 crore.

Konda Babu and Balakrishna, who are cousins, got involved in the illegal drug trade to make quick money. They acquired hash oil from Andhra Pradesh and Odisha and transported it to Bengaluru, using Hyderabad as a transit point.

The duo bought hash oil at a low price and sold it in Bengaluru for a much higher price, making significant profits. A buyer in Bengaluru ordered 14 kg of hash oil. On August 10, Konda Babu and Balakrishna procured the hash oil from Chaduru Mamidi Kondalu, which is about 15 km from their village, and headed towards Hyderabad.

On August 11, when they reached the Outer Ring Road near Taaza Foods Hotel in Peddamberpet village, the police caught them while they were waiting for the buyer. The police seized the illegal goods from them and are now trying to catch other suspects involved.

Recently, the Rachakonda police also arrested other drug peddlers, including family members like a father and son, and siblings. It appears that people are involving their relatives in illegal drug activities to earn quick money.

The Cyberabad police have warned the public, especially students, that dealing with banned drugs is illegal and can result in severe punishment, including up to 10 years of imprisonment or even the death penalty under Section 31A of the NDPS Act. They urged everyone to assist the police in stopping this illegal activity.
