Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has emphasized the need for major investments to transform Hyderabad into a globally competitive city. During a recent development review meeting, he stated that ₹1.5 lakh crore is required to bring the city up to international standards.
The Chief Minister pointed out the importance of thorough urban planning and modern infrastructure. He explained that improving living standards and adopting sustainable development practices are key to making Hyderabad a city that can rival the world’s best. “Hyderabad has great potential to compete with leading cities worldwide. To achieve this, we must focus on smart infrastructure and sustainability,” he said.
The plan includes upgrading public transportation, improving water supply systems, enhancing waste management, and boosting digital connectivity. The government also aims to tackle issues like traffic congestion and pollution while promoting industrial and IT development to attract global investors.
