The police conducted inspections in the city as part of the election code during the Telangana assembly election. They seized a large amount of cash, totaling Rs. 6.5 crore, at Bandlaguda Appa Junction. The cash was found in six cars, leading the police to suspect that it belongs to a political leader who recently faced IT raids. However, the police have not yet announced who the money belongs to.
