The Regional Transport Authority (RTA) Hyderabad at CZ Khairthabad conducted a special vehicle registration number auction that generated a total successful bid amount of Rs 31,14,730. The auction saw participation from prominent companies and individuals competing for exclusive registration numbers in the latest TG09L and TG09K series.
The highest bid of the auction went to Megha Engineering and Infrastructures Ltd, which secured the premium number TG09L0009 for Rs 10,50,000. This amount alone accounted for nearly one-third of the total auction proceeds, reflecting the high demand for single-digit registration numbers among corporate entities in the state capital.
The second-highest bid came from Tirupati Rao Peddinti, who acquired the registration number TG09L0007 for Rs 3,19,999. Following closely, Anirudh Agro Farms Limited purchased the number TG09L0005 for Rs 2,00,005, demonstrating strong interest from the agricultural sector in securing distinctive vehicle registration numbers.
Real estate firm Muppa Homes Private Limited secured the fancy number TG09K9999 for Rs 1,50,000. The repeating digits pattern made this registration particularly attractive, as such combinations are highly sought after in vehicle number auctions across the state.
Tikkavarapu Manjula Reddy won the bid for TG09L0024 at Rs 1,00,024, while Arjun Patel acquired the coveted number TG09L0001 for exactly Rs 1,00,000. The number ending in 0001 holds special significance as it represents the first registration in the new series.
The auction reflects the growing trend of businesses and individuals in Hyderabad willing to pay premium prices for distinctive vehicle registration numbers. The RTA Khairthabad office regularly conducts such auctions, with proceeds contributing to the state transport department’s revenue collection.
