Hyderabad will soon host a major public event called ‘Jai Hind Sabha’, organized by the Indian National Congress to honor the bravery and achievements of the Indian Armed Forces. This event is part of a nationwide initiative taking place in 15 cities across India from May 20 to May 30.
The Congress party aims to use these gatherings not only to salute the military but also to raise serious concerns about national security lapses. According to K C Venugopal, AICC General Secretary, the events will question how the current government has managed security issues. He also highlighted the need to discuss the United States’ involvement in recent efforts to de-escalate tensions between India and Pakistan, particularly regarding the ceasefire claims.
Cities like Delhi, Barmer, Shimla, Patna, Jabalpur, Pune, Goa, Bengaluru, Kochi, Guwahati, Kolkata, Bhubaneswar, Pathankot, and Hyderabad are on the list to host these public meetings. The events will feature veterans, party leaders, and citizens coming together to support the troops and discuss national issues.
Earlier this month, on May 8, the Telangana Chief Minister led a large rally in Hyderabad. The march, which included Army veterans, police officers, and party members, started from the Secretariat and ended at Indira Gandhi’s statue on Necklace Road. Holding the Indian tricolour, the Chief Minister expressed strong support for the military.
He praised the soldiers involved in ‘Operation Sindoor’, a swift mission that targeted terrorists. The Chief Minister emphasized that when national integrity is threatened, all political divisions disappear. He issued a bold statement, warning that if necessary, India could eliminate Pakistan in a single night, claiming, “Pakistan won’t see the dawn the next day.”
The upcoming Jai Hind Sabhas aim to unite citizens in patriotism while sparking important conversations around India’s defense policies, foreign interference, and the government’s role in national security.
