Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) is working on a permanent solution to the city’s sewage overflow problems. On Monday, Ashok Reddy, the managing director of HMWSSB, visited several areas in Begumpet to inspect the situation.
During the inspection, Ashok Reddy instructed officials to identify areas where sewage issues occur frequently and last for extended periods. He emphasized the need to find a long-term solution to these problems. Reddy also announced that senior officials will now visit problem areas once or twice a week to monitor the situation closely.
On the same day, the managing director and senior officials visited the regional office of the Institute of Planners India (ITPI) in Begumpet. They also inspected Brahmanawadi Lane-1, where many residents had reported frequent sewage overflow issues.
