A strange event occurred near Hyderabad when a woman drove her car on railway tracks for about 8 kilometers. This incident disrupted train services.
The situation unfolded on Thursday morning between Shankarpalli and Hyderabad. Police stopped the woman, who was suspected to be drunk. She resisted arrest but was eventually taken into custody for a medical check.
The woman, identified as a former software employee, will face charges. Police found her PAN card and driving license in the damaged car, which had broken windows.
Train delays affected at least two goods trains and two passenger trains, each delayed by around 20 minutes.
Earlier on June 20, another train disruption occurred in Maharashtra due to an Overhead Equipment failure near Palghar. This incident on the Western Railway line resulted in the cancellation of seven suburban trains and lengthy delays for others, impacting many passengers.
