HYDRA issued an official statement on Friday clarifying that the protection and fencing of government land in survey number 59 in Kondapur village of Serilingampally mandal in Rangareddy district was conducted solely at the request and information provided by revenue officials. The agency emphasized that all actions were taken in coordination with revenue authorities and within legally prescribed boundaries. The clarification came in response to reports circulating in various newspapers regarding allegations of unauthorized fencing activities.
According to the statement, HYDRA protected and fenced approximately 19 acres of land in survey number 59 based on a High Court judgment that declared the area as government land. The fencing operation was carried out under police security and in the presence of RDO, MRO, surveyors, and RIs. The agency stressed that the fencing was erected strictly within the limits set and shown by the revenue officials, ensuring complete compliance with official directives and legal boundaries.
During the operation, HYDRA also removed a temporary shed in survey number 59 where plastic and garbage were being dumped, causing environmental pollution in the surrounding area. The plastic waste accumulated at the site was cleared as part of the land protection exercise. The agency categorically stated that it did not enter survey number 60 during the fencing operation, addressing concerns raised about alleged encroachment into adjacent survey numbers.
The clarification specifically addressed reports concerning a complaint by a woman named P. Sudharani regarding the alleged demolition of fencing on her 350-yard plot in survey number 60. HYDRA stated that Sudharani did not contact the agency before the encroachment removal activities and that her plot was located in survey number 60, which was not part of their operation. The agency also noted that she had not filed any complaint with HYDRA regarding the matter.
HYDRA reiterated that the fencing was conducted within the boundaries shown by revenue officials and in their presence throughout the operation. The agency emphasized that it had not taken any independent decisions regarding the land demarcation or fencing activities. All actions were carried out based on official requests from revenue authorities and in accordance with the High Court judgment declaring the land as government property, the statement concluded.
