HYDRA has taken decisive action to protect 15 acres of government land located near Madhapur Cyber Towers by erecting fencing around the property valued at approximately Rs. 3,000 crores. The enforcement action, carried out on Wednesday, follows a High Court verdict that conclusively settled a decade-long land dispute in favor of the government.
The disputed land is located in survey numbers 41/12, 13, and 14 of Khanamet village in Sherilingampally mandal, Rangareddy district. Ittina Properties had claimed ownership of this government land, prompting TGIIC officials to issue notices in 2016 asking the company to vacate the premises. The company challenged these notices by approaching the High Court.
Justice Nagesh Bheemapaka heard the case and delivered a verdict that brought closure to the prolonged legal battle. Revenue officials presented compelling evidence to the court demonstrating that no records exist of the government allotting the land in 1963 under the ex-servicemen quota. The officials also established that the patta documents submitted by the petitioner were fabricated.
During the proceedings, revenue officials highlighted several irregularities in the documents. They pointed out that the Rajendranagar Tahsildar office was only established in 1978, making it impossible for patta documents dated 1972 and 1973 to have been issued in the name of that office. The officials also noted that under the ROR Act, proceedings should be issued by the Tahsildar, but in this case, they were issued in the name of Recording Officer UDIIR Sherilingampally Mandal without clear legal authority.
Further investigation revealed that the proceedings were allegedly issued by an officer named P. Narasimha Rao, but revenue records showed no evidence of any officer by that name ever working in that capacity. These findings strengthened the government’s case that the documents were fraudulent attempts to illegally acquire valuable government property.
Based on the evidence presented, the court confirmed that the petitioners were attempting to seize government land using fake documents. The court ordered revenue officials to take immediate steps to protect the lands from encroachment. Following this judicial directive, HYDRA moved swiftly to secure the property by installing fencing around the entire 15-acre area.
HYDRA has also erected signboards clearly marking the property as government land. The fencing and signage serve as visible deterrents against any future encroachment attempts on this prime real estate located in one of Hyderabad’s most valuable commercial areas near the Cyber Towers IT hub.
