The Telangana Medical Council conducted raids on multiple skin and hair treatment centres in Kondapur, Hyderabad, uncovering serious violations of medical practice regulations. The inspections revealed that several establishments were operating without proper licenses and qualified medical professionals. Three major facilities came under scrutiny during the enforcement drive, including Neoskin Clinic, ORA Aesthetics, and Traya Hair Loss Solutions.
At Neoskin Clinic, authorities found that various dermatological treatments were being offered to patients without the presence of a qualified dermatologist or the necessary permissions from regulatory bodies. The clinic was operating in violation of established medical guidelines that mandate appropriate qualifications for practitioners offering specialised skin treatments. Meanwhile, at ORA Aesthetics, the inspection team discovered that dental practitioners were performing skin and hair aesthetic procedures, which falls outside their scope of practice and professional training.
The raid on Traya Hair Loss Solutions exposed yet another pattern of irregularities, where online consultations were being conducted without proper clinical registration or involvement of qualified dermatologists. The medical council expressed serious concern over such practices that put patient safety at risk. The Telangana Medical Council has announced that action will be initiated under Sections 34 and 54 of the NMC Act, 2019 against the violators.
The council has stated it will recommend sealing unauthorized establishments that fail to comply with medical practice regulations. In a stern warning, the TGMC also cautioned that registered doctors who aid or support such illegal practices could face severe disciplinary action, including suspension of their medical license. The enforcement action underscores the council’s commitment to maintaining professional standards in medical practice and protecting patients from unqualified practitioners.
