The move is expected to ease traffic congestion for commuters traveling through Venkatarao Nagar, KNR Colony, and Kolanu Tulasi Reddy (KTR) Colony.
Encroachments Causing Severe Traffic Issues
Complaints had been mounting about residents and shop owners illegally occupying roads by:
- Extending apartment ramps onto the roads
- Constructing fences and iron staircases on public pathways
- Setting up shops and additional rooms, blocking key routes
These obstructions caused severe traffic congestion, particularly affecting:
- School buses and emergency vehicles, which struggled to navigate the narrow roads.
- Commuters traveling from Old Age Home to Miyapur Metro Station, who faced daily delays.
