In an important move to protect water bodies and prevent flooding, HYDRAA destroyed three illegal buildings in the Chinnari Kunta area of Alwal on Thursday. These structures were built in the Full Tank Level (FTL) zone.

Locals had complained that these buildings blocked rainwater from reaching the lake during monsoons. The obstructions caused waterlogging and flooding in nearby colonies.

After examining the site, HYDRAA confirmed the buildings violated environmental rules by being within the FTL limits. With help from local police, officials demolished the structures safely.
