The Income Tax department officials in Khammam held an awareness conference to help voluntary organizations with their tax payments. The conference was attended by officials from AP, Telangana, and Odisha. The goal of the conference was to increase transparency in tax payments and ensure that everyone who is required to pay taxes does so. The officials discussed recent amendments in the Income Tax Act that affect charitable and spiritual organizations. They also provided suggestions and advice on tax payments and concessions. One important document for charitable organizations, Form 10A, was discussed in detail, including the extension of the deadline for filing the application. If the application is not filed by the deadline, a 45 percent tax will be imposed according to Section 115TD of the IT Act.
