In Ameenpur mandal’s Ailapoo Thanda, a man pretending to be a reporter was beaten by locals after trying to extort money from them. The man, identified as Santosh Naik, had been posing as a journalist to intimidate villagers.

Naik allegedly demanded Rs. 25,000 from each villager. He threatened to report them if they didn’t pay, claiming they were building houses on government land without proper permissions. This angered the villagers.

In response, the villagers tied Naik to a pole and beat him. The police were called to the scene and took Naik into custody. Authorities are now investigating the case to learn more about his actions and to see if anyone else was involved in the scheme.
