Hyderabad: DHL Express has teamed up with Sai Life Sciences to use a more environmentally friendly shipping service called GoGreen Plus (GGP).
With this new partnership, Sai Life Sciences will be able to reduce up to 90% of greenhouse gas emissions from its international shipping. Sai Life Sciences works with over 300 pharmaceutical and biotech companies around the world to help speed up drug discovery, development, and commercial production.
R S Subramanian, Senior Vice President for South Asia at DHL Express, said that cutting down on Scope 3 emissions (those caused by partners and suppliers) is very important for DHL’s goal of becoming carbon-neutral by 2050. He said GoGreen Plus is a leading service that helps customers lower the carbon footprint of their global shipments.
Sivaramakrishnan Chittor, Chief Financial Officer at Sai Life Sciences, said the partnership shows a shared goal of reducing harm to the environment while still delivering reliable and accurate service. He added that this is another step in the company’s effort to include sustainability in all areas of its work.
