Hyderabad: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, strongly condemned a recent terrorist attack, calling it a cowardly act. He expressed deep sympathy for the families of those who were killed and promised that the terrorists would face strict punishment. He also said that the central government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, is closely watching the situation and will support the victims’ families.
BJP Legislative Party leader Aleti Maheshwar Reddy said the murder of 27 Hindus by terrorists in Pahalgam has shocked the entire country. He described the attack on innocent tourists as a clear sign of the terrorists’ cowardice. Reddy added that targeting Hindus in such a way reminds him of past rulers like Aurangzeb and the Razakars. He urged all Hindus to stand united against these kinds of attacks.
Reddy further blamed former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, claiming that his policies, including allowing Kashmir to have special status, encouraged terrorism in the region. He called for people across all political parties to come together and support the Modi government in its fight against terrorism in Kashmir.
Shivaji Sinkar, the president of Shiv Sena Party in Telangana, also condemned the attack and offered his condolences to the families of the victims.
