    Osmania University celebrated its 106th year by unveiling the centenary pylon. The Vice-Chancellor, Prof D Ravinder, highlighted the university’s rich history and dedication to academic excellence. The pylon represents OU’s contributions to society over the past century.

    The construction of the pylon cost around Rs. 1.5 crore and was approved during a meeting of the executive council in 2022.

    Guest of honor Surabhi Vani Devi, MLC, reflected on her father, former PM P V Narasimha Rao, who inaugurated a pylon for OU’s 75th anniversary. She felt honored to inaugurate the centenary pylon, seeing it as a symbol of the university’s lasting legacy and commitment to academic excellence.
