The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation Standing Committee met on Wednesday and approved 16 development proposals. The meeting was chaired by Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi and attended by 15 standing committee members, the commissioner, and senior officials. They discussed various civic issues and pending development works.
One of the approved proposals was to implement a mobile-based facial recognition biometric attendance management system for GHMC staff. Another proposal included carrying out drainage diversion works at an estimated cost of Rs 2.52 crore. The committee also extended an agreement with an agency for the Annapurna meals scheme and approved revisions in DA for employees.
Other approvals included construction projects like an elevated corridor, grade separator, flyover, and road widening. The committee also agreed to fund free training at various sports complexes through CSR initiatives.
The meeting was attended by various standing committee members and officials, including the commissioner, EVDM Prakash Reddy, and additional commissioner Siva Kumar Naidu.
