    Indrakaran Reddy | Nirmal: After the formation of Telangana as a separate state, several initiatives have been taken by the government to strengthen the education sector. Minister Indrakaran Reddy from the Forest Department stated that KCR, the Chief Minister of Telangana, has been taking various steps to empower the education system. He mentioned that the Gurukul schools have been transformed into excellent institutions and are serving as role models for education in Telangana.

    As part of the decade celebrations, the newly constructed schools in Ramnagar and Sofinagar in Nirmal town were inaugurated by Minister Indrakaran Reddy under the program “Our Village-Our School”. Speaking on this occasion, he stated that education in Telangana is progressing towards development and achieving great results. It was informed that government schools are providing quality education, infrastructure, and basic amenities, similar to private and corporate schools and colleges. CM KCR has made efforts to provide English medium education to rural and underprivileged children. On one hand, efforts are being made to strengthen government schools, while on the other hand, the newly formed Tribal Welfare Department is successfully running Gurukul schools.

    During the presentation at the state-level during the decade celebrations, it was informed that the state government is providing Rs. 140 crore worth of two sets of uniforms to 25 lakh students, Rs. 190 crore worth of free textbooks, and Rs. 35 crore for midday meals. Chief Minister KCR decided to provide note books worth Rs. 56 crore for 12.50 lakh students, tabs worth Rs. 34.25 crore for 19,800 teachers.
